The continent of Connexia has been fractured! Once linked together by the power of the great Unicea, its regions are now drifting islands whose inhabitants are cut off from the rest of the world.

Luckily, Mario and Luigi are there to save the day! Shortly after arriving in Connexia, the duo sets off on an adventure with new allies (and a few familiar faces) to connect the islands, discover what caused this catastrophe, and save the world.
